Manufactured using a unique hydrophilic polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane which has broad chemical compatibility, low protein binding characteristics and negligible extractables. This sterilising grade membrane cartridge is suitable for most pharmaceutical and healthcare applications.
In ophthalmics it is key that Benzalkonium chloride (BAK) and polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) levels remain at specified levels after sterile filtration and similarly in vaccines or biopharmaceuticals final filtration that the key active ingredient is not decreased. SurePore PVDF is offered because it offers the lowest preservative or protein binding of any membrane type ensuring that cartridge filtration does not change the make-up of the filtered final solution.
Available in either single- or double-layer membrane construction with performance validated against bacterial challenge data. SurePore PVDF has elevated temperature resistance, which is combined with excellent steam life/autoclave characteristics to enable long service life in continuous applications.
Cartridges can be provided to retrofit existing applications or combined with PVS hygienic/sanitary housings for new applications.
