SurePore PTFE Liquid Membrane
SurePore PTFE membrane cartridge has a high surface area chemically resistant polytetrafluorethylene membrane, available in a range of ratings, and is used in the most chemically aggressive situations, such as strong acids and bases for sterile, bioburden reduction and final filtration applications.
For standard applications then a filter cartridge using polypropylene hardware will be acceptable, however for the most aggressive chemicals (acids such as sulphuric, nitric, and bases sodium hydroxide at particular concentrations) then SurePore ALL PTFE membrane cartridges having hardware that is totally PFTE will be required.
SurePore PTFE is available in both hydrophilic and hydrophobic membrane types, with the latter find some applications in ophthalmic applications due to negligible product binding.
SurePore PTFE membrane exhibits high flux rates that reduce the cartridge size required combined with a wide range of chemical compatibility. All hardware is constructed from solid polypropylene that meets USFDA Title 21 and USP Class VI. The filter also meets the current USP requirements for extractables.
